Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Electronic Arts. The movie has a running time of 75 minutes. The motion picture is based on Dead Space by Electronic Arts. Dead space: downfall features Nika Futterman in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Bruce Boxleitner, Keith Szarabajka, Jim Cummings, Kelly Hu, Kevin Michael Richardson and Jim Piddock. But something happens to Barrow's wife on board the Ishimura. Barrow decides to escape the colony's madness and, taking his wife's body, goes on board the Ishimura. Barrow, the foreman, finds the body of his wife having committed suicide. The people are being infected by something. Upon arrival, the news appears far worse than originally. In the Aegis VII colony, where the Red Marker was found, there are some suicides and murders and the people are slowly going mad. Security head Alissa Vincent (voiced by Nika Futterman) expresses concern, but is swiftly cast aside. The USG Ishimura, a miner spaceship, is transporting a strange artifact called the Red Marker.
The movie is directed by Chuck Patton and produced by Joe Goyette, Robert Weaver and Ellen Goldsmith-vein under the banner of Film Roman in collaboration with Electronic Arts. Dead Space: Downfall is a 2008 English-language Animation Horror film written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti.
